CoServ Joins CRC’s Contact Center Membership

Cooperative Response Center, Inc. (CRC) is pleased to announce that CoServ in Corinth, Texas, recently joined its contact center membership. CoServ is an electric cooperative and natural gas distribution company serving North Texas. Incorporated as Denton County Electric Cooperative in 1937, CoServ Electric is one of the largest electric cooperatives in the country, serving more than 250,000 electric meters across Denton, Collin and four other North Texas counties. CoServ Gas was established in 1998 and serves more than 130,000 gas meters in Denton, Collin and Kaufman counties.

CRC offers utilities across the country seamless contact center and alarm monitoring solutions, including call management, line crew dispatch, AMI/CIS/OMS integration, CRCLink® outage communication software, and alarm monitoring. CRC also offers dynamic greetings, outage texting services, video monitoring of substations, a Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance solution which utilizes live agents for billing calls, and English proficiency translation services. From outage calls to billing calls, disconnects to emergency locates and more, CRC is there for its membership 24/7/365. By partnering with CRC, members find peace of mind as well as a cost-effective solution to their call handling needs.

CoServ joined CRC’s membership in January and subscribes to its overflow contact center services. CRC’s overflow services are utilized by those utilities that have in-house 24/7 member services and/or an IVR and dispatch their own line crews. CRC is then utilized in times of need when call volume is too great for a utility to handle internally.

Working together has proved beneficial to enhancing CoServ’s after-hours customer service. “CRC provided crucial assistance to CoServ during our billing and outage management software conversion this year,” said Donnie Clary, CoServ’s president and CEO. “By providing a better after-hours customer experience, CRC helped us reduce hold times and make the transition a seamless one for our members.”

Chris Holt, CRC’s president and CEO, notes its goal is to serve as an extension of its membership’s operations. “By combining our resources to provide the best customer service possible, the overall benefit is that the caller gets helped quickly and efficiently,” he explained. “We’re pleased to partner with CoServ and its staff to provide its membership with top-notch service.”
