CRC Awards $12,000 in Scholarships to Local Graduates
2024 CRC Scholarship Recipients

Austin, Minn.—Cooperative Response Center, Inc. (CRC) is pleased to announce the eight recipients of its 2024 scholarship program, each awarded $1,500 for their post-secondary education costs. This year’s scholarship recipients are as follows:

Ava Denzer is a 2024 graduate of Austin High School in Austin, Minn. Denzer plans to attend the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa, to pursue a degree in interior design.

Avery Wempner is also a 2024 graduate of Austin High School. Wempner will attend the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, N.D., to study nursing.

Lucas Turner is a 2024 graduate of Sequatchie County High School in Dunlap, Tenn. Turner will attend the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga, Tenn., to pursue a degree in computer science and cyber security.

Also a 2024 graduate of Sequatchie County High School, Donbenet Warren plans to attend Chattanooga State Community College in Chattanooga to study nursing. Warren is the daughter of CRC employee Shannon Warren.

Jacob Castillo is a 2024 graduate of Abilene High School in Abilene, Texas. Castillo will attend Baylor University in Waco, Texas, to achieve a pre-med degree with plans to go to medical school and specialize in anesthesiology.

Another 2024 graduate of Abilene High School, Lily Cauthen plans to attend Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas, to study business management.

Sawyer Moss is also a 2024 graduate of Abilene High School. Moss will attend Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Okla., to pursue a degree in data analytics.

A 2024 graduate of Merkel High School in Merkel, Texas, Eva Rodriguez plans to attend Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene to pursue a degree in business management. Rodriguez is the daughter of CRC employee Michelle Rodriguez.

This is the sixteenth year CRC has offered a scholarship program, overall awarding nearly $130,000 to 115 graduates. In January 2024, students in the communities in which CRC has offices – Austin, Dunlap, Abilene, and Kirksville, Mo. – were invited to apply for a 2024 CRC scholarship. The scholarship recipients were selected in May.
