CRC Once Again Named One of the ‘Best Places to Work in Southeast Minnesota’

For the sixth consecutive year, CRC is happy to report that its Austin, Minnesota, office has been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Southeast Minnesota by Workforce Development, Inc.

Recently twelve local companies were recognized as “best workplaces” in either small- (under 75 employees), medium- (75 – 200 employees), or large- (over 200 employees) sized categories at a banquet held on Thursday, April 26, in Rochester, Minnesota.

Nancy Morrison, CRC’s vice president of human resource development, says CRC looks forward to completing and submitting all of the data associated with the Best Places to Work selection process each year. “It’s a good time to look back at the previous year and see how we have improved in all the areas measured,” she explained. “It has become even more critical as we compete for talent in a shrinking labor market, which makes it even more imperative that we are continuously raising the bar and looking for ways to enhance the employment experience.”

The new challenge CRC faces is to continue the momentum it has maintained the last six years. “With this distinction now having been won six consecutive years, CRC has established itself as an employer of choice, which was one of our goals,” Morrison added. “Maintaining that distinction will now be our goal in the coming years. This process culminates at a banquet where we learn of other great initiatives our peer recipients are implementing. It’s a great way to share best practices and incorporate some of these ideas at CRC, giving us the opportunity to measure ourselves against other great companies.”

Each company that participated in the program was required to complete a 40-question survey that allowed their employment practices to be analyzed by Personnel Dynamics Consulting, a Florida-based consulting firm. Some of the attributes that have made CRC a stand out for this honor are its employee benefit program, employee growth, percentage of employees promoted, bonus program, annual increases in pay, and its focus on training and wellness.
