Austin, Minn.—Cooperative Response Center, Inc. (CRC) is pleased to announce the eight recipients of its 2022 scholarship program, each awarded $1,500 for their post-secondary education costs. This year’s scholarship recipients are as follows:
Hope Boynton is a 2022 graduate of Sequatchie County High School in Dunlap, Tenn. Hope plans to attend Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tenn., to pursue a teaching degree.
Braden Fjelsta is a 2022 graduate of Albert Lea High School in Albert Lea, Minn. Fjelsta, who is the son of CRC employee Brad Fjelsta, plans to attend Minnesota State University in Mankato, Minn., to study microbiology.
Brooke Garduno is a 2022 graduate of Abilene High School in Abilene, Texas. Garduno will attend Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, to pursue degrees in communications and business.
A 2022 graduate of Signal Mountain High School in Signal Mountain, Tenn., Madison Huffine, the granddaughter of CRC employee Vickie Miller, plans to attend East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tenn., to study criminal justice.
Brazos Lewis is a 2022 graduate of Abilene High School. Lewis plans to attend Texas A&M University to pursue a degree in physical therapy.
Lucy Masara is a 2022 graduate of Austin High School in Austin. Masara will attend the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities in Minneapolis, Minn., to study computer programming and database systems.
Bailey Sims is a 2022 graduate of Sequatchie County High School. Sims, the daughter of CRC employee Angela Hanschen, will attend Chattanooga State Community College in Chattanooga, Tenn., to pursue a nursing degree.
A 2022 graduate of Sequatchie County High School, Callie Tate plans to attend the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga to study criminal justice.
This is the fourteenth year CRC has offered a scholarship program to local graduates. In January 2022, students in the communities in which CRC has offices – Austin, Dunlap, Abilene, and Kirksville, Mo. – were invited to apply for a 2022 CRC scholarship. The scholarship recipients were selected in May.
