CRC Welcomes Cobb EMC to its Membership

Cooperative Response Center, Inc. (CRC) is pleased to welcome Cobb Electric Membership Corporation (EMC) in Marietta, Georgia, to its membership. Cobb EMC, one of the largest electric cooperatives in the country, is a member-owned electric distribution cooperative serving over 200,000 meters in northwestern Georgia.

CRC offers utilities across the country seamless contact center and alarm monitoring solutions, including call management, line crew dispatch, AMI/CIS/OMS integration, CRCLink® outage communication software, and alarm monitoring. CRC also offers outage texting services, video monitoring of substations and a Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance solution which utilizes live agents for billing calls. From outage calls to billing calls, disconnects to emergency locates and more, CRC is there for its membership 24/7/365. By partnering with CRC, members find peace of mind as well as a cost-effective solution to their call handling needs.

Cobb EMC joined CRC’s membership in June 2016, subscribing to CRC’s contact center overflow services. CRC’s overflow services are utilized by those utilities that have in-house 24/7 member services and/or an IVR and dispatch their own line crews. CRC is then utilized in times of need when call volume is too great for a utility to handle internally.

“Cobb EMC is pleased to partner with CRC for call center services,” said Chip Nelson, president and CEO of Cobb EMC. “We strive to continually provide services to enhance our communications with our members. The transition to CRC was seamless for our members and has complemented the service we provide to them.”

Chris Holt, CRC’s president and CEO, notes that CRC strives to serve as an extension of its members’ offices, partnering together to provide service excellence. “CRC has worked with utilities for 24 years and appreciates the importance of customer service,” said Holt. “We’re honored to have the opportunity to serve Cobb EMC and its members.”
