Congratulations to Steve Nelson, software engineer 1 at CRC's Austin, Minn., office, who was named CRC’s January 2018 Employee of the Month! Nelson, who has worked for CRC for six years, was nominated in January for his completion of a project that provides significantly more information to the central station month-end billing reports. The updated reports increase the amount of monitoring types featured from four to 20 alarm types. The new, comprehensive reports are provided in an Excel spreadsheet and provides detailed information that greatly benefits both CRC and its membership. In his efforts, Nelson demonstrated CRC’s values of member driven, employee-focused, teamwork, innovation, service excellence, and continuous improvement.

“Steve worked on this project for years until its completion, working closely with central station staff members to understand what they do and determine the best way to report different alarms,” said Rod Anderson, director, IT. “Steve has such a great eye for detail and that’s evident by the final product which features a lot of data in a helpful and easy-to-understand format.”
