Congratulations to Amanda Wencl, service excellence coordinator at the Austin Center, who was selected as its August 2019 Employee of the Month.
Wencl, who has worked at CRC for 21 years, received a STAR Award card in August recognizing her for her initiative in researching an issue with CRC’s English Proficiency Service. Wencl discovered that some of the language lines were being targeted by robo callers, resulting in CRC’s agents answering ‘dead air’ calls. Unfortunately this is also resulted in our members being billed for interpreter calls that never occurred. Thanks to Wencl’s diligence, she determined who received the bogus calls so CRC could reimburse those members that were overbilled. In her efforts, Wencl demonstrated CRC’s values of member driven, service excellence, and teamwork.
“Amanda often takes the lead to research issues and problem solve,” said Michelle LaVelle, director, service excellence. “This is a great example of how our employees look out for CRC and its membership. Thank you, Amanda, for your work in solving this issue.”
In recognition of being a CRC Employee of the Month, Wencl will receive four hours of PTO. She is also eligible for consideration for CRC’s 2019 Employee of the Year, which will be selected by CRC’s management team in late January 2020.
