Austin, Minn.—Cooperative Response Center, Inc. (CRC) is pleased to announce the nine recipients of its 2023 scholarship program, each awarded $1,500 for their post-secondary education costs. This year’s scholarship recipients are as follows:
Carson Cannon is a 2023 graduate of Austin High School in Austin, Minn. Cannon plans to attend South Dakota State University in Brookings, S.D., to pursue a mathematics degree.
Afiqua Caples is a 2023 graduate of Kirksville Senior High School in Kirksville, Mo. Caples will attend Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Ill., to study forestry.
Landry Carbaugh is a 2023 graduate of Sequatchie County High School in Dunlap, Tenn. Carbaugh will attend the University of Alabama in Huntsville, Ala., to pursue a degree in mathematics to prepare for a career in aerospace engineering.
Also a 2023 graduate of Sequatchie County High School, Julia Cates plans to attend the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga, Tenn., to pursue a nursing degree.
Another 2023 graduate of Sequatchie County High School, Delilah Haman also plans to attend the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga and study graphic design.
Emma Haugen is a 2023 graduate of Austin High School. Haugen will attend Winona State University in Winona, Minn., to achieve a nursing degree.
Malea Nelson is a 2023 graduate of Kirksville Senior High School. Nelson will attend Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo., to pursue a business degree.
A 2023 graduate of Cooper High School in Abilene, Texas, Daniela Tawian plans to attend the University of Houston in Houston, Texas, to pursue a degree in medicine.
Nora Tweeten is a 2023 graduate of Austin High School. Tweeten will attend Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, to obtain a business degree in accounting and marketing.
This is the fifteenth year CRC has offered a scholarship program to local graduates. In January 2023, students in the communities in which CRC has offices – Austin, Dunlap, Abilene, and Kirksville – were invited to apply for a 2023 CRC scholarship. The scholarship recipients were selected in May.
