CRC Employees Support Make-A-Wish Foundation in June

Each month, CRC recognizes a national charitable organization or recognition event, with the goal to have employees working together to raise awareness of each charity/event at CRC and its surrounding communities. In June, CRC recognized the Make-A-Wish Foundation at all CRC sites. The Make-a-Wish Foundation helps grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy.

In June, a fundraiser was held at all three sites, including a drawing for a garden gazebo and gift basket of family friendly activities.

Overall, CRC employees raised $400 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Each site’s total will be donated its local Make-A-Wish chapter, with the donation going towards granting the wish of a child in the community with a life-threatening medical condition.

On Thursday, June 23, CRC’s Austin Center employees Angie Duis, Team Leader, Jeff Langan, Help Desk Specialist, and Julie Schramek, Executive Assistant, utilized their volunteer PTO to spend a day helping the Make-a-Wish Foundation hold their Swinging for the Stars golf tournament at Somerby Golf Course in Byron, Minn. Sixty-four golfers signed up for this event, with all proceeds going to grant the wish of a local child – Hannah – to go to Disney World. Through the generosity of donors, Hannah was granted her wish at that evening’s dinner and program.
