CRC Holds Grand Opening of its Fourth Contact Center in Kirksville, Mo.

Austin, Minnesota - Cooperative Response Center, Inc. (CRC) celebrated the grand opening of its new regional contact center in Kirksville, Mo., with a ribbon cutting and open house on Thursday, October 6, 2022. The contact center is the fourth CRC contact center to open since 1992, offering call handling for organizations in the utility industry nationwide.

Chris Holt, CRC’s president and CEO, led the ceremony thanking Kirksville officials for their support and assistance in opening the new office. “We really feel at home and welcomed by the community,” he said.

He thanked Moberly Area Community College, Kirksville Regional Economic Development, Inc., Missouri One Start, Workforce Development Division, and state officials for helping CRC along the journey of site selection, employee recruitment, and training until the renovation of its facility was recently completed.

So far this year, 24 employees were hired and trained at the local community college in Kirksville as customer service representatives (CSRs) to take inbound calls from mostly rural electric cooperatives. Early in February, CRC purchased and renovated a local facility with the first training class in the new facility beginning September 19. CRC plans to hold additional recruitments in the near future to reach its 65 employee goal by the end of the year.
