Austin, Minn. – The results of Cooperative Response Center, Inc.’s (CRC’s) recent board of directors election were announced at its June 19, 2022, annual membership meeting revealing its newest board member: Shane Hermetz, general manager/executive vice president at Egyptian Electric Cooperative Association in Murphysboro, Ill.
Hermetz has worked in a variety of roles in his nearly 30 years in the utility industry. He has served in his leadership role at Egyptian Electric Cooperative Association since 2016 and the vice president of the Egyptian Electric Charitable Fund NFP since its creation in 2020. Hermetz replaces former district 2 director Bill Buchanan, former president and CEO of Northwestern RECA in Cambridge Springs, Penn., who recently left the cooperative for another job, making him ineligible to serve on CRC’s board. Hermetz was elected to a one-year term and is eligible to run for re-election in CRC’s 2023 board election in May 2023.
In addition to CRC’s newest board member, three other directors were re-elected to their board seats. Scott Peters, CEO at Columbia Rural Electric Association in Walla Walla, Wash., was re-elected to his district 1 board seat; Randy Crenshaw, general manager of Irwin EMC in Ocilla, Ga., and Middle Georgia EMC in Vienna, Ga., was re-elected to his district 3 board seat; and Rod Cotton, general manager of Farmers’ Electric Cooperative in Chillicothe, Mo., was re-elected to his at-large board seat. All returning board members were re-elected to three-year terms. Congratulations to our new and returning board members.
