Austin, Minn. – Cooperative Response Center’s (CRC’s) Mark Colton, business manager, will co-present “Securing Remote & Outdoor Assets using Video Verification” at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association’s (NRECA’s) TechAdvantage 2014 Conference and Expo in March in Nashville, Tenn. The TechAdvantage event is an annual technology showcase for electric cooperative professionals from across the country.
The presentation, which will take place during the conference on Thursday, March 6, at 8:00 a.m. central time in Room 208B of the Nashville Music City Center (201 Fifth Avenue), will offer valuable information regarding asset protection and considerations that need to be made when creating an outdoor/remote asset protection plan, including:
• Best practices for securing outdoor assets using video verification monitoring
• Identifying risk factors and cost-effective solutions to deter remote asset vandalism and theft
• Factors to take into account when considering a theft solution
Colton will facilitate the presentation with Jeff Doak, president and CEO of I2C Technologies, a software and integrated solution provider in the security industry. CRC and I2C Technologies have partnered since 2010 to offer a real-time surveillance solution with I2C’s equipment and CRC’s 24x7 security monitoring service.
“Finding the right solution to copper theft and vandalism is critical for utilities nationwide,” said Colton. “Many utilities feel vulnerable so finding practical solutions to protect their assets while keeping costs down is key. This presentation will address those options.”
