Fjelsta Selected as CRC's New President and CEO

Austin, Minn. – Cooperative Response Center, Inc.’s (CRC) Board of Directors announced today that Brad Fjelsta, CRC’s senior vice president—operations, has been selected as its new president and CEO, officially starting his new role with the company on February 3, 2023. Fjelsta will take over the head leadership position from current president and CEO Christopher Holt who will retire in February 2023.

Fjelsta has worked for CRC for over 21 years, originally serving as the company’s controller and facilities manager. He was promoted to senior vice president—operations in 2010. Throughout his tenure at CRC, Fjelsta has successfully led many major projects for the company along with the responsibility for a number of its departments.

“CRC’s Board of Directors conducted a nationwide search for the president and CEO position for the past six months,” said Neil Hesse, general manager of PenTex Energy in Muenster, Texas, and CRC’s board chairman. “We had a number of strong candidates but we concluded Brad’s experience with CRC over the past two decades along with his vision for the future will continue to grow CRC in the best way possible for its membership and its employees.”

Holt agreed with CRC’s board that Fjelsta is the best individual for the job. “Brad’s passion for service, our employees, and members along with his institutional knowledge were the primary drivers of his selection,” Holt said. “I’m confident he’ll continue to grow CRC and not only maintain our position as the industry leader but help us move in new and exciting directions as the utility and alarm monitoring industries evolve in the coming years.”
