Goodhue County Cooperative Electric Joins CRC’s Membership

Cooperative Response Center, Inc. (CRC) is pleased to announce Goodhue County Cooperative Electric has joined its membership. Goodhue County Cooperative Electric is a member-owned electric distribution cooperative serving 5,000 meters in southeastern Minnesota.

CRC offers utilities across the country seamless contact center and alarm monitoring solutions, including call management, line crew dispatch, AMI/CIS/OMS integration, CRCLink® outage communication software, and alarm monitoring. CRC also offers outage texting services, video monitoring of substations and recently implemented a Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance solution which utilizes live agents for billing calls. From outage calls to billing calls, disconnects to emergency locates and more, CRC is there for its membership 24/7/365. By partnering with CRC, members find peace of mind as well as a cost-effective solution to their call handling needs.

Goodhue County Cooperative Electric, who was a founding member of CRC but left in 2003, rejoined CRC’s membership in May 2015, subscribing to CRC’s contact center dispatch services which include inbound call management as well as dispatching of line crews.

Doug Fingerson, general manager at Goodhue County Cooperative Electric, attributed CRC’s commitment to technology as one of the main reasons his organization decided to return to its services. The ability to text outage reports was a desire of their membership, a service they now utilize with CRC.

“There are more capabilities than before,” Fingerson explained. “CRCLink has integrated well with our NiSC information. We look forward to doing more with the outage management system since we will be installing a new metering system in the New Year.”

Chris Holt, CRC’s president and CEO, is pleased Goodhue County Cooperative Electric has rejoined its membership. “We’re glad our service offerings meets their needs,” said Holt. “We remain committed to working with our vendor partners and strive to continually add products and services to enhance our partnerships with our members.”
