Austin, Minn.– Cooperative Response Center, Inc. (CRC) is pleased to announce that James Hathaway, general manager/CEO of Dunn Energy Cooperative of Menomonie, Wis., was appointed to its Board of Directors at its December 12, 2013, board meeting in Grapevine, Texas.
Hathaway will fill a soon-to-be-open board seat when Board Secretary David Oelkers, general manager of Riverland Energy Cooperative in Arcadia, Wis., retires from his organization on Monday, December 30. At that time, Oelkers will no longer be eligible to serve on CRC’s board.
Nominations for the board seat were sought by CRC’s Board of Directors in October 2013. Five general managers or president/CEOs of CRC member organizations applied for the position, with Hathaway selected to fill the vacancy until CRC’s annual membership meeting in June 2014. To continue to serve on the board, Hathaway is required to run for re-election in CRC’s Board of Directors election in May 2014.
“We are very appreciative to Mr. Oelkers for his many contributions to CRC and its board over the years and we wish him well in his retirement,” said Chris Holt, CRC’s president and CEO. “We look forward to Mr. Hathaway’s vision and leadership when he joins the board later this month.”
