Laura Penrod, CRC’s central station coordinator in its Austin, Minn., office, was recently awarded Security Systems News’ “40 under 40” recognition. Each year a total of 40 individuals under the age of 40 are selected from integration, dealer, central station, consultants, and end-user personnel throughout the electronic security and fire industry. Penrod was nominated by co-workers and CRC members and associate members via a survey that was sent from Security Systems News, a trade publication.
All award winners will be featured in individual profiles in Security Systems News’ November 2019 print edition as well as online. Award winners will also be honored at the Security Next Conference held February 9 – 11 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
“40 under 40” award recipients are considered industry influencers and leaders in their respective fields. All nominations are considered by a panel of industry veterans throughout the country and chosen through a nomination committee of panel members based on the surveys they receive regarding the award nominee.
“We’re all thrilled to see Laura earn this award and be recognized nationally,” said Randy Ambrus, central station manager and Penrod’s supervisor. “However, I’m not surprised by this. Laura’s cheerful attitude, extensive job knowledge, and never-give-up perseverance has been demonstrated since I began working with her nearly 10 years ago.
“Our alarm dealers are complimentary of CRC’s customer service and operations,” he added. “I’m glad they recognized Laura for the good work she does.”
