Austin, Minn. – Cooperative Response Center, Inc. (CRC) announces the results of its recent Board of Directors election following its 25th annual membership meeting held Monday, June 11, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Pre-meeting elections selected the directors to serve as part of CRC’s nine-member board.

Board members re-elected to three-year terms were Larry Fenbers, general manager/CEO of Carroll Electric Cooperative, Inc. in Carrollton, Ohio; J. Kevin Murphy, president of Southwest Tennessee EMC in Brownsville, Tenn.; and Jim Hathaway, general manager/CEO of Dunn Energy Cooperative in Menomonie, Wis.

Officers
After the annual meeting, CRC’s Board of Directors met and selected the following officers to serve on its executive committee:

Chairwoman – Brenda Swartzlander, president and CEO of United Electric Cooperative in Dubois, Pa., leads a 19,000-consumer electric cooperative that operates in parts of 10 counties in northwestern Pennsylvania. Swartzlander has served as the board’s chairwoman since 2011.

Vice Chairman – Neil Hesse, general manager of Cooke County Electric Co-op Assn. in Muenster, Texas, leads a 16,000-meter electric cooperative that operates in five counties in northeastern Texas. Hesse has served as board vice chair since 2014.

Secretary – Recently re-elected Fenbers leads a 12,000-consumer electric cooperative that operates in six eastern Ohio counties. Fenbers has served as board secretary since 2014.

Treasurer – Steve Wattnem, CEO of Cooperative Light & Power Association in Two Harbors, Minn., leads a 6,000-consumer electric cooperative that operates in northeastern Minnesota. Wattnem has served as board treasurer since 2016.
