CRC Welcomes Bayfield Electric Cooperative to its Membership

Cooperative Response Center, Inc. (CRC) recently welcomed Bayfield Electric Cooperative of Iron River, Wisconsin, to its membership. Bayfield Electric Cooperative is a member-owned electric distribution cooperative serving 8,800 meters in six counties in northern Wisconsin and Michigan.

CRC offers utilities across the country seamless contact center and alarm monitoring solutions, including call management, line crew dispatch, AMI/CIS/OMS integration, CRCLink® outage communication software, and alarm monitoring. CRC also offers outage texting services, video monitoring of substations and a Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance solution which utilizes live agents for billing calls. From outage calls to billing calls, disconnects to emergency locates and more, CRC is there for its membership 24/7/365. By partnering with CRC, members find peace of mind as well as a cost-effective solution to their call handling needs.

Line crew safety, like many electric cooperatives, is of major importance at Bayfield Electric Cooperative and one of the reasons the organization joined CRC. “Safety of our linemen is of utmost importance,” explained Diane Berweger, CEO of Bayfield Electric Cooperative. “With CRC dispatchers, we are assured our line crew is being monitored and will keep in contact with the crew until the power is restored.”

CRC’s focus on service excellence was another factor that was attractive to Bayfield Electric Cooperative. “CRC’s professionalism in handling outage calls goes a long way in helping our members keep calm when their lights are out,” she said. “Our members are important to us and having CRC represent Bayfield Electric’s team assures us our member calls are answered in an efficient and professional manner. We are very pleased and grateful to be a part of CRC.”

Chris Holt, CRC’s president and CEO, is thankful for Bayfield Electric Cooperative’s membership and looks forward to working together to meet their customer service needs. “We strive to work as a seamless extension of our membership’s office,” said Holt. “As cooperatives, CRC and Bayfield Electric Cooperative have similar values and goals when it comes to customer service. We’re happy to work with them in partnership to serve their membership.”
