CRC Welcomes Henry County REMC to its Membership
Cooperative Response Center, Inc. (CRC) is pleased to announce Henry County REMC in New Castle, Indiana, has recently joined its membership. Henry County REMC is a not-for-profit, member-owned distribution cooperative serving 9,600 homes and businesses in Henry County as well as surrounding counties.

CRC offers utilities across the country seamless contact center and alarm monitoring solutions, including call handling, line crew dispatch, CRCLink® outage management software, and alarm monitoring. CRC now also offers outage texting services and video monitoring of substations to its membership. From outage calls to billing calls, disconnects to emergency locates and more, CRC is there for its membership 24/7/365. By partnering with CRC, members find peace of mind as well as a cost-effective solution to their call handling needs.

Shannon Thom, CEO of Henry County REMC, notes there were a number of reasons his cooperative decided to utilize CRC’s services. “I had many discussions with other cooperatives about their after-hour call answering solution and discovered CRC is highly recommended in the industry,” said Thom. “We found CRC has the ability to serve the member owners of Henry County REMC in a manner that they deserve and many have come to expect.”

Other services CRC provides proved to be useful for Henry County REMC as well, including CRCLink, CRC’s outage management software, and CRC’s support with routing after hour calls. “CRC was able to provide guidance, resources and assistance with routing calls where they needed to go while still utilizing our existing phone service,” Thom explained. “This has been a big change for Henry County REMC, but one that will continue to provide the best service possible to our members owners.”

CRC’s multiple locations were also a factor in Henry County REMC’s decision to join CRC’s membership. “Having call centers in three states and a central point of information was a key component for us,” he added.

Chris Holt, CRC’s president and CEO, is appreciative of Mr. Thom’s feedback and is happy to have Henry County REMC join CRC as a member. “We pride ourselves on providing service excellence, being there for our membership when they need us the most,” said Holt. “We look forward to providing service to Henry County REMC and their membership for many years to come.”
