Darcy Wytaske, CSO 2 in CRC’s central station in Austin, was named CRC’s January 2016 Employee of the Month. Darcy, who has worked for CRC for 11 years, was nominated in January for her assistance with a suicidal caller, staying professional and keeping the caller calm until authorities arrived. In her efforts, Darcy demonstrated CRC’s values of member driven, service excellence and communication.
“Darcy takes emergency calls in the central station every day but this was definitely a unique situation,” said Randy Ambrus, central station manager. “Assisting someone who was intending to harm themselves is definitely out of the norm. We appreciate Darcy’s ability to stay calm and support someone in great need for an extended period of time, resulting in the caller getting much needed help.”
In recognition of being a CRC Employee of the Month, Darcy received four hours of paid time off (PTO). Darcy is also eligible for consideration for CRC’s 2016 Employee of the Year, which will be selected by CRC’s management team in late January 2017.
